Why you can trust WellWired
If you are going to take advice about anything new, you deserve to know who is giving it and how they pay the bills. So here it is, in plain words. No small print.
Who we are
WellWired is a small team, not a big company with a call centre. David started it because his own family kept asking the same worried questions about AI, and the answers online were written for people who already work in technology.
The guides you read here are written and checked by three people. Arthur writes the beginner guides and how-to articles. Rex reads everything for accuracy and handles the safety and privacy side, so if something is wrong or misleading he catches it. Sage covers the everyday uses, the cooking, gardening, travel and family bits. You can see all three on our team page and read more about why we built this on the about page.
How we make money, honestly
We make money one way. We sell a paid course called the Academy, which walks you through AI step by step at your own pace. The price is shown right there on the page before you decide anything.
Nearly everything else on WellWired is free and always will be. The guides, the plain-English glossary, the confidence quiz, the scam checker and the weekly email cost you nothing. You do not need to buy the course to get value from the site.
Here is what we will not do to earn a penny:
- We do not sell your personal data. Not to advertisers, not to anyone.
- We do not take payment to recommend a tool. When we suggest something, it is because we have tried it, not because a company paid us.
- We do not hide prices or use countdown tricks to rush you. What you pay is written plainly, up front.

Made for people over 50
A lot of AI advice is really work advice, dressed up. It assumes you want to write faster emails or build a spreadsheet at the office. That was never the point for us.
WellWired was built from scratch for people who did not grow up with computers. We think about the questions you actually have. Is this safe? Will it cost me? Could a scammer use it against me? How do I try it without breaking anything? Every guide is written with those worries in mind, which is why we put so much care into staying safe and spotting scams.
How to reach a human
When you get in touch, a real person reads your message. No bots, no ticket numbers, no menu of options to press. David replies to messages himself, usually within a day or two.
You can use the form on our contact page, or simply write to hello@wellwired.ai from your own email. And when we send you a guide by email, you can just reply to it. Your reply comes straight to us and we read every one.
